Layouts differ between makes and models; the functions do not. The test asks which control you would use to do a particular thing, so learn them by their job rather than by where they sit.
Set the seat before anything else
Close enough to press the pedals fully to the floor with a slight bend left in the knee, and to turn the wheel fully without stretching or lifting a shoulder off the backrest.
The law puts it plainly: the driver must be seated so as to maintain control of the vehicle and have a clear view of the road ahead. Everything else in the cockpit is set relative to where you are sitting, so the seat comes first.
